FIELD: oil, gas, petrochemical, chemical and food industries, various fields of science and technology, medicine and pharmacology. SUBSTANCE: method includes compression of liquid conducted adiabatically. Liquid is compressed by plunger. Chamber is thermostatted to ensure isothermal conditions of compression. Liquid is compressed at two different velocities of travel of plunger. Positions of plunger along longitudinal axis of its travel are fixed and at same time pressure and volume of liquid are measured at fixed positions of plunger according to time.
