FIELD: study of physical characteristics of solid. SUBSTANCE: in accordance with method measuring porosity starting volume of material is measured and material is placed in chamber with liquid. Pressure in chamber is raised to force liquid into material. Volume of liquid forced into material is measured. Correction related to presence of gas in material is accounted for in measured volume of liquid. Porosity of material is found by relation of measured volume of liquid forced into material with due account of correction to starting volume of material. Liquid is poured into chamber before placement of material into it. Pressure in chamber is raised and compressibility of liquid is measured. Time characteristic of pressure in chamber and /or volume of liquid are measured to find point of inflection in it. After total forcing of liquid into material pressure in chamber is raised and deformability of material is measured. Additional corrections related to compressibility of liquid and to deformability of material are taken into account in measured volume of liquid. In correspondence with method measuring distribution of pores according to sizes characteristic of change of relative volume of liquid forced into material by pressure is measured in addition to measurement of volume of liquid and this characteristic is divided into discrete intervals which are used to determine distribution of pores by sizes. Additional corrections related to compressibility of liquid and deformability of material are also taken into account in measured volume of liquid. EFFECT: increased accuracy and reduced time of measurement of porosity and of distribution of pores by sizes in real seam conditions, provision for ecological safety of measurements. 25 cl, 11 dwg, 1 tbl
