FIELD: medicine, namely selective magnetic therapy, possibly treatment of different diseases due to changing functional activity of cells of tissue structure by action of low-frequency electromagnetic field. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of acting upon system of transmembrane kinetics of ions of tissue structure whose mass is in range 0.05 -1.5 kg by means of outer electromagnetic field; selecting magnetic density of said electromagnetic field depending upon desired functional activity of cells according to first variant of invention in range 5 - 20 mTl in order to provide stimulating action upon functional activity of cells of tissue structure and according to second variant of invention - in range 25 - 60 mTl in order to provide suppressing action upon cells; selecting time interval of action of electromagnetic field at both variants of invention in range 2 - 30 min. EFFECT: effective treatment due to unidirectivity and reproducibility of caused biological and therapy effects related to change of functional activity of cells of tissue structure of pathological zone. 2 cl, 2 tbl
