FILTER WITH GRAINY CHARGE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: cleaning liquids in grainy filters; cleaning water, sewage and various industrial liquids in chemical technology, ore concentration and hydrometallurgy. SUBSTANCE: proposed filter is additionally provided with system of vertical profiled members at cross section reducing downward which are partially immersed in upper layers of charge; said profiled members are hollow and perforated in lower portion for reducing mass of these members and enhancing washing of charge; pipe line supplying compressed air from compressor or blower is brought inside each said member. Hollow members may be made in form of hollow cylinders or vertical pipes with perforated lower ends and may be additionally provided with spiral- shaped plates fixed on the outside for enhancing washing of grainy charge and reducing possibility of carrying it by air bubbles; said plates embrace upper part of hollow members.
