PRESSURE FILTER WITH GRAIN MEDIA Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: purification of liquids by filtering on grain filters; applicable in technology of water treatment and purification of sewage waters, various liquids from impurities in processes of chemical technology, ore concentration, food industry and others. SUBSTANCE: pressure filter has casing, draining base, branch pipes for supply of liquid to be purified and discharge of purified liquid, supply and discharge of flushing water and system of vertical bulk profiled members. Layer of grain media is located on draining base. Bulky profiled members have cross-section reducing from top downward and immersed into upper part of immovable grain media layer. Profiled members are hollow from waterproof flexible material. Connected to inside of each profiled member from blower is pipeline of compressed air. Installed on compressed air pipeline connecting bulky profiled members and blower is check valve. Installed between check valve and profiled members is branch pipe with electromagnetic valve for discharge of compressed air to atmosphere. EFFECT: simplified design of pressure filter, and its operation, excluded breakthrough of suspended matter together with pure liquid. 2 dwg
