FIELD: production of acrylonitrile and hydrogen cyanide. SUBSTANCE: proposed catalyst contains set of catalytic oxides of iron, bismuth, molybdenum and calcium characterized by the following empirical formula: AaBbCcDdFeeBifMo12Ox, where A is one or several elements of lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium and cesium or their mixtures; B is one or several elements of magnesium, manganese, nickel, cobalt, silver, lead, rhenium, cadmium and zinc or their mixtures; C is one or several elements of cerium, chromium, aluminum, germanium, lanthanum, tin, vanadium and tungsten or their mixtures; D is one or several elements of calcium and strontium, barium or their mixtures and "a' is equal to 0.01-1.0; "b" and "e" = 1.0-10; "c", "d" and "f" are equal to 0.1-5.0 and "x" is number depending on valence of other elements. EFFECT: increased yield of byproduct - hydrogen cyanide without considerable reduction of yield of non-saturated nitrile. 18 cl, 2 tbl
