FIELD: rolling; quenching of pipes in thermal departments of rolling-mill shops. SUBSTANCE: arrangement for quenching cylindrical articles incorporates body, circular receiving chamber, revolving rotor with longitudinal headers and nozzles. Circular receiving chamber is divided by radial lintels into sectors. Each sector has delivery branch pipe with regulating valve. Arrangement is equipped with longitudinal guides fixed inside rotor between headers. Each guide has the possibility of control of guide position with respect to rotor axis and control of inclination angle of guide relative to inside rotor surface. EFFECT: uniform cooling of heated pipes. 2 dwg
