FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wet cleaning of gases of dusty product in drying in stray driers and to cleaning off-gases of steam-boilers and furnaces in power engineering and metallurgy. Scrubber has cylindrical housing, gas feed tangential pipe, top cover with offgas discharge pipe, working fluid feed pipe with nozzles to feed fluid to housing inner side walls, and waste fluid discharge cone. Proposed scrubber differs from known designs in that gas feed tangential pipe is connected to housing at its top part. Besides, lateral openings are arranged at housing bottom to discharge swirling flow of gases and fluid. Note here that scrubber bottom part is fitted in separation cyclone with offgas discharge pipe extending through housing center to cover housing bottom by its bottom divergent section. Note also that waste fluid discharge cone is located at separation cyclone bottom. Besides, extra nozzles are arranged at housing top section to feed fluid to housing annular space and offgas discharge pipe outer wall.
EFFECT: decreased specific metal content, higher efficiency of heat transfer from gases to fluid.
