FIELD: mining industry, road-building machinery. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic percussion mechanism can be employed to break rocks, to separate slime formations in metal casting ladles, to activate working tools of cutter-loaders. Mechanism includes body made of ferromagnetic material, anchor-striker comprising two parts. One part is made of ferromagnetic material, the other part comes in the form of nonmagnetic current-conducting ring. Mechanism has induction coil and pulse current source and is equipped with enclosure with cover that carries exhaust valve, rear head on which butt valve box with suction valve is positioned. Anchor-striker has longitudinal grooves made in its outer surface which are matched with axial holes in nonmagnetic current-conducting ring on which front butt pressure valve is anchored. Longitudinal grooves forming closed conduits with enclosure shut off by cover from rear butt are made in outer surface of body. EFFECT: raised functional reliability of electromagnetic percussion mechanism. 4 dwg
