SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industry of construction materials and may be used in production of lightweight concrete aggregates, for example, haydite gravel, agloporit, ceramdor. The invention allows to settle a technical problem to increase compatibility of petroslimes with the damp clay, simplification of a method to decrease consumption of expansion admixture in clay and to decrease bulk density of haydite gravel. The substance of an offered method of preparation of an expansion admixture provides that the bottom petroslime containing mineral and organic parts and water, is mixed with clayey raw material in the ratio of (40...90): (10...60) accordingly, then the intermixture is being aged outdoors for 3...48 months.
