FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of polyamide, which can be employed as structural material. Polyamide is obtained by polymerization of ε- caprolactam in presence of ε-caprolactam sodium salt (catalyst) and 2,4- toluylene diisocyanate (activator) followed by adding one more diisocyanate selected from 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, hexamethylene diisocyanate, and an urethane prepolymer at caprolactam-to-diisocyanate weight ratio (70- 95):(5-30).
