FIELD: pipeline transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed electric drive contains electric motor, reduction gear with gear and worm trains, planetary gear train and control mechanism switching off electric motor in final positions of gate valve shutoff member and limiting value of torque by means of plate springs. Planetary gear train is arranged in mechanical circuit between worm of main and hand drives coaxially with hollow through drive shaft passing through worm wheel of main worm train with possibility of its free relative rotation. It has central wheel with external teeth with possibility of self-alignment relative to teeth of planet pinions meshing with central wheel with internal and external worm rim, and carrier provided, on one end, with worm of worm train mechanically coupled with control mechanism and on other end, with inner cams of clutch connecting carrier and hollow drive shaft. Such design of electric drive makes it possible to transmit torque to drive shaft in several equal power flows, reduces overall dimensions of drive and use the drive both with rotary cocks and extensible spindles as there is no necessity of clutch for changing over from automatic to manual duty as control system of electric drive can be used for this purpose.
