FIELD: measurement of gas flow rate. SUBSTANCE: gas meter has conduit in the form of tube for passage of gas flow and tubular chamber so placed that gas fed into it from conduit is kept immobile in essence. Conduit houses two pairs of identical pickups connected to microcomputer. Pickup first is gas flow of each pair measures ambient temperature. Second pickups are periodically heated and rate of their cooling is established during cooling period. Microcomputer calculates gas consumption compensated with allowance for density on basis of measured values of velocity and calibrated values obtained before. EFFECT: high measurement accuracy without sophistication of design of gas meter. 5 cl, 3 dwg
