FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical fuel cells with solid polymeric electrolyte. According to the invention fuel cell comprises anode, ion-exchange membrane and cathode, performed with liquid phase water supply to flow-through grooves for fluid medium formed in cathode so that 100% relative humidity is supported along the whole length of grooves. Invention suggests gaging method and facilities for determination of optimum quantity or quantity interval for liquid phase water which is to be supplied to cathode flow-through grooves for fluid medium when operation conditions change. Also mode of operation and facilities are suggested that provide optimum liquid phase water quantity supply to cathode flow-through grooves for fluid medium when operation conditions are measured.
EFFECT: improvement of fuel cell battery operation.
