WORKING TOOL FOR FERTILIZER DIRECT SEED DRILL Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2218697 C1

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, direct drill for application of seed material and fertilizer. SUBSTANCE: working tool has mellower with tine and shank with tubular tine. Shank is arranged above mellower, which is made in the form of A-wedge with knife secured to wedge bottom. Mellower is fixed to tine so that its bottom surface is inclined at an angle of 5-10 deg to horizontal plane. Inclined wedge-shaped tip is attached to lower part of shank tubular tine and oriented to side opposite to advancement direction. Tip is composed of interconnected bottom and cover, which are made in the form of funnels having different radii and defining slit-type cavity with their surfaces. Seed distributor arranged inside tip is formed as two-sided wedge with upward oriented apex and working faces formed as slide surfaces. Pipe for mounting of fertilizer guide is attached to rear wall of main tine. Mellow tine has wedge-shaped front part oriented in advancement direction. Shank tine is pivotally fixed to main tine and spring-loaded thereto. Such construction allows fertilizer to be applied and seed to be sown at different levels with respect to soil surface without preliminary presowing soil cultivation.
