FIELD: primary treatment of food and feed plant product before laying for storage. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying onto plant product antiseptic in the form of saturated aqueous solution of preparation produced from Pythium insidiosum micromycet biomass by predetermined process. Use of saturated water provides solubility of micromycet biomass preparation and creates anaerobic conditions in plant product treatment zone resulting in partial killing of microflora, in particular, its aerobic form in vegetative stage of development. EFFECT: simplified plant product treatment method.
