FIELD: contact devices for mass-exchange apparatus; packed columns for gasliquid systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed packing consists of horizontal rows of rectangular plates which form I-type profile at angle of inclination of elements to level no less than 45 deg.; profile of one row is located in opposite direction relative to profile in adjacent row; elements of two adjacent rows form longitudinal cells and end faces of profile form slots for passage of phases. Besides that, ratio of lengths of walls and shelf of I-type profile is equal to 1:2; edges of walls of I-type profile are toothed. Invention makes it possible to use effects arising during jet counter-flow motion of phases through slot between end faces of profile walls for contact of phases and during film motion along inclined shelves of profile, as well as effect arising at turbulization of phases in volume of longitudinal cells formed by walls and shelves of T-type profile located in adjacent rows opposite to each other. Such combination of interaction between phases causes intensification of mass-exchange process excluding formation of stagnant zones at smooth distribution of flows.
