HOPPER FOR LOOSE MATERIALS LIABLE TO CONSOLIDATION Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for transportation and storage of loose materials liable to consolidation with subsequent discharge of such materials. Proposed hopper contains housing with slotted bottom and screen and guides installed under bottom, bridge breaker with posts passing through longitudinal slots of bottom being made in form of working members for cleaning the bottom, and drive to move bridge breaker along bottom slots. Screen has longitudinal members forming longitudinal slots parallel to longitudinal slots of bottom, arranged at the same pitch and having the same width. Screen is installed for displacement in direction crosswise to slots of bottom through length of pitch of arrangement of longitudinal slots and fixing in position. Bridge breaker has carriage installed for movement along guides and coupled with bridge breaker displacement drive. Posts of bridge breaker pass through slots of screen, being secured by lower ends on carriage. Invention makes it possible to simplify design of hopper, reduced energy consumption at discharging of loose material and to regulate discharge rate of loose material.
