FIELD: materials handling facilities.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed for storing and discharging of difficult-to-flow loose materials liable to caking and forming of bridges. Said hopper contain housing and bridge breaker. The latter has working member in form of double-edged strip arranged in parallel with longitudinal axis of housing and installed on carrying posts secured for reciprocating rotation of strip around joints in vertical plane and connected with drive of strip rotation mechanism by means of crank mechanism. Hopper has transportation member with drive and additional crank mechanism located in bottom of housing, and mechanisms to provide reciprocation of each post in vertical plane. Posts are passed through hinge joints secured on wall of housing and are installed in joints for longitudinal displacement in vertical plane. Mechanism to provide longitudinal reciprocation of each post is installed on end of each post. Ends of posts are passed through their longitudinal reciprocation mechanisms, each mounted on corresponding crank mechanism for turning in vertical plane. Invention provides simplified design of hopper and increased efficiency of bridge breaking when discharge caked difficult-to-flow loose material owing to control of zone of action of bridge breaker operating member.
