FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for protection of young fishes from getting into diversion facilities. Proposed device includes protection-and-water intake surface installed in port of diversion facility and frame by nozzles of fluent generator arranged in pairs and symmetrically to its axis at angle relative to diversion front. Symmetrical hydraulic screens are formed before protection-and-water intake surface by means of water fluents ejected from symmetrically arranged nozzles of generator. Said screens are brought out of zones of "high-velocity" water flow into diversion facility and they limit the facility from side of water reservoir. Said screen joining in vertices of thus formed triangular zones form flat vertical cumulative fluent featuring higher velocity and transporting capability and bringing young fishes from diversion facility zone. Invention improves protection young fishes slow velocity reservoir of diversion facilities by forming spatial hydraulic screen before diversion facilities preventing direct contact of young fishes with protection-andwater intake surface.
