FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to facilities aimed at preventing young fish from getting into diversion facilities. Proposed fish barrier includes protective water-intake surface and water distributing branch pipe with main and additional nozzles of flow generator connected to pressure water source. Additional nozzles of flow generator are arranged waterwards from main nozzles being inclined to protective water- intake surface at angles greater than angles of inclination of main nozzles. Water jets getting out of main and additional rows of nozzles form two hydraulic screens, main and additional, which, in their turn, form common volumetric hydraulic screen. Volumetric screen both washes protective water-intake surface and organizes transit stream of velocities higher than critical for young fish at a distance from protective water-intake surface in zone where velocities of streams directed into water diversion facility do not exceed critical values for protected fish. Invention increases fish protection efficiency of devices with protective water-intake surfaces at velocities of water flowing into diversion facility exceeding critical swimming velocity of yound fish owing to formation of volumetric hydraulic screen before water intake front. EFFECT: prevention of contacting of young fish with protective water-intake surface. 3 dwg
