Said friction article contains friction member made of composite including polymeric matrix, fibrous fillers or single fibrous filler and dispersed fillers. Single fibrous filler or of fibrous fillers is made of material softening at maximum temperature of working surface of friction article in operation. EFFECT: improved friction and wear resistant characteristics of friction articles.
