FIELD: valves and fittings. SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at reducing cavitation and operating noise in valves and fittings. Proposed device contains valve housing with inlet and outlet arranged on opposite sides of housing directly opposite to each other. Gate is arranged in housing between inlet and outlet. Gate is provided with cylindrical passage and is installed in housing for turning. With valve fully opened, passage, inlet and outlet are on one line. Flat partitions are arranged in gate passage. Said partitions form spaces in between. Through holes are made in partitions. Spaces and partitions are arranged so that at beginning of valve opening, inlet communicates only with one space. Said space communicates through holes in partitions and intermediate spaces with opposite space. The latter communicates with outlet. In process of subsequent opening of valve, more and more spaces, and at least all spaces, get connected with inlet and outlet. Device contains at least one pair of intersecting partitions. They are arranged in passage so that two opposite spaces, nearest, respectively, to inlet and outlet, are located symmetrically relative to diametric plane in which axis of passage is located in process of turning movement of gate between open and closed positions and back. Liquid flow gets into space nearest to inlet, is divided by means of holes in partitions into several liquid flows to create pressure gradient with subsequent uniting of flows in nearest to outlet space. EFFECT: improved reliability and simplified design at provision of high stability to vibration and reduction of operating noise. 7 cl, 4 dwg
