SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines with supercharging. Engine (1) of internal combustion has at least one cylinder (2), with at least one inlet, inlet pipeline (4), exhaust pipeline (7), at least one turbine compressor (8), unit (9) of exhaust gas recirculation and cooler (10) of supercharging air. Inlet pipeline (4) is connected to inlet system (3) to feed supercharging air in at least one cylinder (2) via intake manifold (6) located at side (5a) inlet. Exhaust pipe (7) is placed on side (5b) to output of exhaust gases. Turbine compressor (8) on exhaust gases comprises turbine (8b) located on at least one exhaust pipe (7), and compressor (8a) mounted on at least one inlet pipeline (4). Plant (9) of exhaust gas recirculation contains recirculation pipeline (9a), exhaust branch pipe (7) downstream turbine (8b) and coming into inlet pipeline (4) upstream of compressor (8a). In inlet pipeline (4) downstream of compressor (8a) there is cooler (10) of supercharging air, located above at least one inlet hole of at least one cylinder (2), when engine (1) of internal combustion is located in installed position. Disclosed is method of operating ICE with supercharging.
EFFECT: high rate of recirculation of exhaust gases.
