FIELD: bullets for rifled small arms, in particular, bullets with driving bands. SUBSTANCE: the bullet has one or several driving bands, whose height of each of them is reduced step-by-step in the directions of the bullet head and tail sections. A pair of the respective steps of the driving band located on the opposite sides of the central step preferably have the same height. The surface of the steps of the driving band is preferably cylindrical. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of centering and reduced effect of bullet tilting at its motion in the barrel and, as a result, enhanced accuracy of fire. 1 dwg
