FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: projectile for a rifled weapon comprises a vessel, in which at the side of the tail part along the axis of the vessel there is a dead cavity, at least a part of which is arranged in the form of a polyhedron, or in the form of a solid of revolution with corrugations on the surface. The total depth of the cavity makes 0.05-0.9 of the projectile length.
EFFECT: improved manufacturability of projectile making with preservation of high ballistic properties.
