FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: two-element bullet has head ogival part, cylindrical portion and tail part representing a truncated cone that narrows towards rear ends face, and bimetal shell open on bullet tail face. It comprises also steel core. Note that proposed bullet has no lead covering. Bullet core is arranged in bimetal shell with interference fit. Note here that shaped band with lengthwise channels is made on core lateral surface, partially on its ogival part and partially running to its driving part. Cylindrical driving band features diametre that allows clearance between the core and shell inner surface.

EFFECT: improved combat characteristics and ecology of bullet production.
