FIELD: testing and technical diagnostics. SUBSTANCE: time interval required for generation of authentic result is determined. Temperature and density of heat flux on outer and inner surfaces of object are measured periodically in the course of entire time interval. Value of thermal conductivity of necessary layer is set at will and many times. Theoretically possible temperature and density of heat flux correspondingly for outer and inner surface of object is computed for each specified value of heat conductivity using developed generalized physical-mathematical model of thermal nondestructive testing of multilayer objects with inhomogeneities, momentary infrared examination is conducted and temperatures and densities of heat fluxes on inner and outer surfaces are measured. Measured values are compared with theoretically possible. Value of heat conductivity which can ensure comparison conditions is chosen from number of specified and is used for further computations. EFFECT: correct determination of local resistance to heat transfer in examined sections and making of rational decisions on provision of required resistance to heat transfer if it appears to be out of correspondence with rated value because of any reason. 9 dwg, 3 tbl
