FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking samples from nasal passage divisions beginning from the distal one of each nasal passage, taking smears from tonsils and throat. Bacteriological examination of the samples is carried out. Staphylococcus aureus carriage being proved, full- scale treatment of nasal passages, tonsils and pharynx is to be undertaken by administering 2% Bactroban nasal ointment (monotherapy). Ointment is administered 2-3 times a day during 5-8 days under clinical bacteriological control. Antibiotics active with respect to St. aureus are also administered as antibacterial means. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; stable remission. 3 cl
