FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: Mold for continuous casting machine consists of hot head (1a, 1b) being adjacent to upper side of distributor 2 of separating device and holds-down its lower side to mold surface 3. On radial inside surface of hot head (1a, 1b) overhanging portion is adopted which extends beyond distributor 2 of separating device in direction of withdrawal of casting and forms circular clearance 11 with working surface of mold. Hot head (1a, 1b) is aligned and held by external ring 4 fastened detachably on mold. Mold 3 embraces functional ring 5 in direction of its working surface, which along with distributor 2 of separating device forms on upper sides the functional surfaces with controlled degree of roughness. In distributor 2 of separating device on upper and lower sides the radial channels are made with relationship among cross-sections of channels of upper and lower sides being 1: 3 - 1:5. Mold of such a design allows various types of alloys to be cast, particularly, difficultly cast alloys, with satisfactory quality of surface.
