FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: liquid-cooled mold for metal continuous casting includes supporting plates to which copper or copper alloy plates are secured by means of bolts. Heads of bolts are arranged on supporting plates at sides reverse relative to sides to which copper plates are secured. Hinge devices are arranged between bolt heads and surfaces of supporting plates in order to provide relative motion of plates. Each hinge device includes first member corresponding to bolt head and second member corresponding to supporting plate; sliding surfaces of first and second members are turned one to other and sliding member is arranged between them.
EFFECT: improved design of mold providing uniform (without stresses) elongation of mold plate at heating it relative to supporting plate.
