FIELD: metallurgy; particularly, machines for continuous casting of metals into ingots of slab cross-section. SUBSTANCE: roll for machines of continuous casting of metals contains roll body whereon circular sleeves are put on with tightness one after another. On ends of sleeves grooves are made, which axes are located with eccentricity relative to axis of roll body. Grooves of sleeves enter into one another up to the stop at their ends. Eccentricity value makes up 0.004- 0.008 of outside diameter of sleeves. It is possible to make grooves in the form of projections on one end of sleeve, while on the other end of sleeve grooves can be made in the form of recesses. Grooves on both ends of sleeves can also be made alternately in the form of projections and in the form of recesses.
