APPARATUS FOR CATCHING DUST AND GAS EMISSIONS DURING DISCHARGE OF COKE OVENS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: equipment of coke-oven batteries; particularly, apparatuses for catching dust and gas emissions during discharge of coke ovens on coke side of battery. SUBSTANCE: apparatus consists of movable dust-catching hood 1, which is installed above coke guide 2 of door-extracting machine 3 and quenching car 4, and exhaust gas pipeline 6, which is placed along coke-oven battery and in parallel to front of coke ovens. Upper portion of exhaust gas pipeline 6 has opening 9, made along the whole length and enclosed with sealing band 12. The last is installed on support strips 1, which are placed above grate 11 of exhaust gas pipeline 6 along the whole length of opening 9 and uniformly across its width. Dust-catching hood 1 is connected with exhaust gas pipeline 6 by means of branch pipe 13, fastened on trolley 15, which is movable and installed on top of exhaust gas pipeline 6 above opening 9 and connected with dust-catching hood 1 by means of carriers 17. Trolley 15 is equipped with rollers 18 and 19 for hoisting sealing band 12 above branch pipe and clamping band to opening 9 of exhaust gas pipeline 6; on trolley15 between rollers 19 and side walls of branch pipe 13 scrubbers 22 are pivoted, which are installed at an acute angle to support strips 10 of opening 9 of exhaust gas pipeline 6.
