FIELD: environmental control, cleaning of ice cover of basin from oil contamination. SUBSTANCE: process of ice cleaning from oil includes localization of contaminated section of river, destruction of ice cover, washing of oil away from blocks of ice. Each block of ice is taken out of water and lower contaminated surface of block of ice is treated with steam above vessel, then decontaminated block of ice is sunk into river at its place. Steam treatment is carried out down-stream of river. EFFECT: protection of water resources against oil contamination, prevention of spread of oil contamination during spring-summer season, reduction of harmful effect on environment.
