FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of control of two-stroke double-cylinder engine with crankcase displacement scavenging. Crankcases of two-stroke double-cylinder engine are interconnected by channel with air cock. With engine operating, part of fuel mixture flows from one crankcase to the other, thus reducing pressure in one crankcase and rarefaction in other crankcase which loads to increase of engine power output. With cock closed, amount of working mixture flowing from one crankcase to the other is decreased which leads to increase of engine power output. With cock completely closed, maximum pressure and rarefaction are set in crank cases which corresponds to maximum power output of two-stroke double- cylinder engine. So by closing and opening of air cock, control of engine operation from idling to maximum power output can be provided. EFFECT: improved economy at low and medium loads.
