FIELD: sealing units of rotors and impellers of pumps, compressors and turbo-units. SUBSTANCE: collar is mounted in body in such position that its lug is directed towards low-pressure cavity relative to flange part. As soon as pressure differential appears on seal, lug is deformed towards increase of its diameter and circular slot is formed between jaw of collar and surface of rotor, thus transforming collar seal to slotted seal. Proposed seal uses wear-resistant polymer materials for reducing working dimensions. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency; low cost. 3 cl, 4 dwg
