FIELD: passive radiolocation, measurement of weak noise signals. SUBSTANCE: given modulation radiometer includes antenna, modulator, receiver, pulse amplifier, synchronous filter, high-pass filter and comparator connected in series. Second input of comparator is connected to common bus, its output is coupled to input of control unit which first output is output of radiometer and second and third outputs are connected to controlling inputs of modulator and synchronous filter correspondingly. Radiometer also includes current source, noise generator, power divider connected in series, first output of divider is connected to first attenuator and first valve connected in series, its second output is connected to second attenuator and second valve connected in series. Current source, noise generator, power divider and both attenuators are mounted on thermostatted plate. Radiometer incorporates matched load, first and second directional couplers, first and second SHF keys which inputs are connected to outputs of first and second valves and controlling inputs of first and second SHF keys are connected to fourth and fifth outputs of control unit correspondingly. First inputs of first and second directional couplers are connected to antenna and matched load correspondingly, second inputs of directional couplers are connected to proper outputs of first and second SHF keys. Matched load is mounted on thermostatted plate. EFFECT: widened operational range and enhanced functional reliability. 1 cl, 7 dwg
