FIELD: correction of running of electronic timepiece in multifunctional microprocessor apparatus, for example in course computer of automobiles. SUBSTANCE: method for correcting running of electronic timepiece on base of microprocessor having clock frequency generator connected with quartz resonator and having ports connected with ROM and RAM units, with bottom for correcting running of timepiece and indicator comprises steps of pressing correction button according to readings of reference time meter in order to drive electronic timepiece; measuring correction mode period; several hours later determining summed error of timepiece running; then calculating error for unit of time and correcting running of timepiece in accordance with calculated error value; when time period measured as number of whole hours elapses after time moment of driving correction mode according to readings of reference time meter, again pressing correction button; according to secondary pressing of correction button determining termination of correction mode; redefining measured time period of correction mode to seconds and calculating running error per second; performing operations for determining starting and termination of correction, for measuring correction mode duration period, for redefining measured period to seconds, for calculation of error per second and correcting timepiece running with use of microprocessor according to program stored in ROM of electronic timepiece. EFFECT: lowered labor consumption, enhanced accuracy and comfortability of correction of electronic timepiece running. 2 cl, 1 dwg
