SELF REGENERATING FILTER-CYCLONE SEPARATOR FOR CLEANING GASES FROM DUST Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: chemical, construction, food, pharmaceutical, metallurgical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for cleaning smoke and ventilation effluents. Proposed filter-cyclone separator contains cylindrical housing with conical bottom, tangentially arranged union to let in dust-laden gas flow and dust evacuation union with filter arranged along its axis. Said filter is made of porous material with combined structure, with blades in form of scoop pointed towards dust-laden gas flow and playing the part of union to let out cleaned gas. Filter can freely rotate under action of gas flow onto blades secured on tops of generatrices of star-like filter surface over entire length. Union to let in dust-laden gas flow can be made over height of cylindrical part of housing on inner surface of which curved chuted plates of cylindrical shape are secured, and surface of members of star-like rotating filter is of form in each point of which angle between tangential line and radius is equal to angle of repose of material settled on said surface.
