FIELD: metallurgy; production of bearing cast iron for thick-walled large-sized castings. SUBSTANCE: proposed cast iron contains the following components, mass-%: carbon, 2.9-3.5; silicon, 0.9-1.5; manganese, 0.5- 1.0; phosphorus, 0.15-0.5; sulfur, 0.02-0.08; chromium, 0.08-0.3; nickel, 0.02-0.3; boron, 0.002-0.04; molybdenum, 0.02-0.45; titanium, 0.001-0.1; copper, 0.05-1.55; vanadium, 0.003-0.35; aluminum, up to 0.015; tin, up to 0.1; the remainder being admixtures and iron; ratio C+2Si = 5.1-6.2; numerical values of graphitization constants at eutectic and eutectoid transformation is  = 0,5-3,2:
