FIELD: electrolytical production of aluminium, namely designs of hearths of aluminium cells. SUBSTANCE: hearth includes hearth sections, refractory layer made of demounted refractory facing of cells in the form of powder with fraction size 2 - 20 mm and heat insulation layer made of materials having corrosion rate in melt aluminium and in melt of cryolite-alumina no more than 0.03 mm/day and 0.05 mm/day respectively. High porosity graphite, for example coked foam is used as material of heat insulation layer of cell.
