FIELD: mechanical engineering; transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used on railway transport. Proposed rail-cutting machine contains cutting head, cutting head drive, control panel, frame, spark arrester and lever. Machine is furnished with geared motor of high gear ratio and eccentric output shaft, and shackle. Lever is three-arm, first being secured by one end of output shaft of geared motor. Cutting head is installed on other end of said arm with its drive and shackle connecting first arm with first end of second arm whose second end is connected with frame. First end of third arm is connected with second end of second arm. Control panel is arranged on second end of third arm. Frame is made in form of rail support with screw clamp on which pipe with terminal clamp is installed. Invention provides reduction of energy consumed at cutting, contact area of cutting disk and machined rail, improved stability of cutting process, possibility of similar type-sizes.
