FIELD: geophysics, seismic methods of prospecting for mineral resources, generation of seismic sections of increased resolution and authenticity under complex geological conditions. SUBSTANCE: process of seismic prospecting includes execution of seismic operations by 2D seismic exploration, processing of obtained initial seismic data, construction of seismic time section. To take account of lack of hyperbolic property of hodograph initial seismograms are processed in addition by paleotransformation in time region reduced to conditions of really existing paleoboundary for period of situation when boundary ran subhorizontally. Paleotransformation is carried out by input of pseudopaleostatic corrections, their correction executed by selection of effective paleovelocities (Vefpuleo). Regular waves-noises are suppressed by paleotransformed seismograms and paleotime migrated section is constructed with due account of interval velocities. In correspondence with first variant of implementation of process structural map is derived by summation of structural map of first reference horizon constructed on basis of seismic time migrated section and structural map of underlying horizons build on basis of data of paleotime migrated section. According to second variant of realization of invention structural map is generated by summation of structural map of first reference horizon built on basis of seismic time migrated section and structural map of underlying horizons build on basis of data of paleotime migrated cube. EFFECT: elimination of distorting effect of embedded, heavily broken-up, acoustically stiff boundaries on results of seismic exploration of underlying sedimentary mantle. 6 cl
