FUNCTIONAL BED Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: traumatology, cardiology, neurology and other fields of medicine using equipment for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes. SUBSTANCE: bed has base, raising mechanisms, bedpan leading mechanism, and bed made in the form of sections, one of said sections being provided with opening. Mechanisms for raising of said sections and leading bedpan are leverage systems and electromechanical devices made in the form of linear drives pivotally attached to base and levers and adapted for tension during raising process. Bed is equipped with button-type remote control panel for controlling position of patient's body and for moving bedpan to required position and is further equipped with sound signal system adapted for informing on overloading of electromechanical devices in raising and lowering modes. Arced handrails pivotally attached to base so as to be deflected away are used as supports for detachable table. Bed of such construction may be also used in home conditions for accommodation of restricted mobility person. EFFECT: simplified construction and manufacture, enhanced reliability in operation, prolonged service life, comfortable use by patients with restricted mobility and simplified manipulating of bedpan by means of button-type control panel. 4 cl, 2 dwg
