METHOD FOR TREATING THE CASES OF POSTURE DISORDERS AND INITIAL MANIFESTATIONS OF DYSPLASTIC SCOLIOSIS IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2221601 C2

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out coupled electroneuromyostimulation. Electrostimulation treatment is carried out in three steps. The first step involves administering electroneurostimulation of paravertebral muscles. The electrodes are disposed on muscles being in hypotonic state and on normal tonus muscles of the same name located on the other side of the body. Indifferent electrode is placed on body area corresponding to spinal cord segments innervating muscle groups under stimulation at current time. Treatment complex is reinforced at the second step with coupled electrostimulation of suprabrachial muscle group after having achieved paravertebral muscles electrostimulation. The treatment complex is finished having achieved electrostimulation effect by applying electrostimulation of gluteal muscles. An audio signal is shown to patient with beta-rhythm frequency of brain activity before beginning electrostimulation treatment at all electroneurostimulation treatment steps. The patient is advised at the same time to involve all muscle groups under stimulation in arbitrary way. Procedure durations in one treatment course grow from 5 to 20 min depending on fatigue signs occurrence. The number of procedures in one course is equal to 7-10. The number of courses is equal to 3-4 courses per year with 2-3 months long pauses. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 4 cl
