FIELD: high-temperature regenerated carbon dioxide absorbents on base of calcium oxide, method of its regeneration and use at temperatures of from 500 to 800 C. SUBSTANCE: proposed carbon dioxide absorbent is just calcium oxide modified by cations of alkali metals, such as : lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium, cesium or any mixture of them. Carbon dioxide absorbent may be also obtained through sedimentation of low soluble calcium compounds from solution of watersoluble salt of calcium (nitrate, chloride and acetate or any mixture of them) at addition of water-soluble compounds of alkali metal or their solutions followed by drying sediment or by impregnation of oxide with solution of water-soluble compounds of alkali metals followed by washing and drying. Method of regeneration of absorbent consists in reducing partial pressure of CO2 or heating the absorbent. The following results are obtained according to this method: (a) considerable increase of degree of conversion which makes it possible to obtain high-purity hydrogen at simultaneous reduction of content of CO and CO2; (b) possibility of forming thermo-chemical systems of storage of high-temperature heat (for example, nuclear energy or concentrated light); (c) possibility of removal of carbon dioxide from gas mixtures at high temperature (in mode of short-duration adsorption inclusive).
