FIELD: foundry and metallurgy; production of hollow cast blanks. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has tray, ingot mold and central mold core mounted rotatably on shaft. Connected with said mold rod by means of longitudinal dovetail-shaped projections are sectors. Diametrically opposite sectors interconnected at overlap are radially movable. After assembly of device, central mold core is set in rotation. Under action of centrifugal forces, sector come apart forming rigid circular closed loop. In the course of crystallization of metal poured into ingot mold, shrinkage processes arise which make sectors move towards mold core in radial direction. Shrinkage of solidified metal takes place freely. EFFECT: avoidance of shrinkage defects in ingots. 3 dwg
