FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method relates to method for preparing tert.-butylaminoborane that can be used as a selective reducing agent in aqueous and organic media. Invention describes method for preparing tert.-butylaminoborane that involves interaction of tert. -butylamine with borane complex tetrahydrofuran-borane or dimethylsulfide-borane in a solvent medium and the following isolation of the end product. Process is carried out in the molar ratio borane complex : tert.-butylamine = 1:(0.95-1.2), respectively. Tetrahydrofuran or dimethylsulfide can be used as a solvent.
