FIELD: production process. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes production of polyamides, their oligomers, or their mixtures, optionally with other conversion products, by interaction of aminonitriles and optionally other polyamide-forming monomers and/or oligomers with water, process being conducted continuously under countercurrent conditions in reaction distillation apparatus with several theoretical or real separation steps. Product is discharged from lower part of apparatus, whereas ammonia and optionally formed other low-molecular compounds and water are withdrawn from the upper part of apparatus.
