FIELD: electrical engineering; developing high- frequency chargers and power supplies for battery-driven vehicles. SUBSTANCE: proposed traction drive engineering package used in developing chargers and power supplies with electrically isolated output voltage for traction drive of battery-driven vehicle has traction motor whose armature winding is connected through voltage regulator built around fully controlled switching components to traction storage battery. Charging relay and double-winding reactor are newly introduced in drive engineering package which has made it possible to use same components to feed 12-V electrical equipment and to trickle charge battery while vehicle is running, and also to charge traction battery at power factor close to unity during parking period.
